System Administrator (Senior Consulting position)

Our client base requires that we stay on top of IT and security technologies as they evolve and understand the solutions appropriate for emerging and mid-sized organizations.

Position Description

  • Proficient in most aspects of operating system administration; for example, installation and
    configuration of various forms of Windows and Mac operating systems, mail systems, printer
    systems, fundamentals of security, third-party software.
  • Strong windows server management and working experience around networking/distributed
    computing environment concepts; ability to configure DHCP, DNS, Windows host networking
    and local and network based user and group accounts and permissions; understands routing
    concepts. 
  • Solid working knowledge of corporate email infrastructure, Outlook & Office
  • Solid working knowledge of Server, Laptops, Desktops, and mobile device hardware
  • Process driven with strong documentation skills
  • Ability and motivation to learn new technologies quickly and with minimal support and guidance.

Desired Technical background

  • Strong focus in Microsoft server environment
  • VMware ESX virtual environment
  • Office 365/Gsuite deployment and management
  • Cisco/Meraki infrastructure stack  ( firewall, switch,  WAP)
  • Linux proficiency
  • VMware Workspace ONE/AirWatch, Meraki Systems Manager, JAMF, Crowdstike is a big plus
  • Experience administrating OKTA, Azure, or other SSO platforms
  • Basic scripting (ex Powershell, Ruby)
  • Cloud experience (AWS or Azure a plus)
  • Certifications a plus (Microsoft, AWS, VMware, Security+, ISC2, ISACA)
  • Experience with networking management (VLANs, trunks, firewalls, VPN tunnels)
  • Understands and works with IT security tools

Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree with study in MIS or Information Technology related field is a plus
  • 4-5+ years’ experience
